Invité par l’équipe Palancade, Alain Nicolas (Institut de Recherche sur le Cancer et le Vieillissement, Nice, France) va présenter un séminaire IJM sur le thème :
Mutators and mutational landscapes: from yeast to cancers
Résumé :
Genome sequencing in model organisms and tumors allowed the extraction of mutational landscapes. Our study of numerous S. cerevisiae mutator strains revealed the diversity, trajectory, complexity and ultimate uniqueness of the mutational landscapes, comprising point mutations, indels, loss of heterozygosity, genome rearrangements and ploidy variations. Several landscapes parallel the repertoire of mutational signatures in human iseases and cancers while others are either novel or composites of sub-signatures resulting from distinct DNA damage lesions.
