Invité par René-Marc Mège, Stéphane Vassilopoulos (Sorbonne Université, INSERM, Institute of Myology, Centre of Research in Myology) donnera le 10 mars un séminaire IJM sur le thème :
Mechanosensitive clathrin platforms regulate YAP/TAZ signaling
Our lab works on the role of membrane trafficking mechanisms in physiology and their involvement in genetic diseases. The group is part of the Institute of Myology (INSERM-Sorbonne Université U974) in the Pitié-Salpetrière hospital in Paris.
We are convinced that to understand this machine called life, you need to see the individual molecules interacting with each other. To this purpose, we develop advanced light and electron microscopy techniques combined to transgenic mouse models and patient cells to directly observe molecular assemblies at the nanoscale. We are interested in several aspects of cell biology including but not limited to:
- clathrin-coated structures
- caveolae
- cytoskeleton
- cell-cell fusion
